Socrates uses a unique iterative discovery process, during which additional search terms are added and results are repeatedly re-ranked based on explicit and implicit feedback from the user.

The outcome of this interactive process is a highly accurate search definition, which is then used to generate alerts, keeping the user up-to-date with new documents and items of interest as soon as they appear.
